What changed

Assets

A register of equipment and vehicles with a code, location, holder and project. Each asset has a service schedule, and the next service appears as a task on the task board. "Serviced today" moves the next date forward. Costs are filed as expenses, and insurance and inspection expiry dates bring reminders.

Field visits

Plan a visit with the customer's address, a time, a technician and an hourly rate. The technician has a "My visits" phone view: press "I am on site", record parts used and a report, press "Finish the visit", and get the customer's signature on the spot. Then one invoice covers the hours and parts.

Team planning

A weekly grid of each person's dated tasks, visits, appointments and approved time off.

The weekly team planning grid

How to use it

  1. Under "Operations", open Assets, press "Add an asset", and enter the kind (equipment or vehicle), service interval and insurance and inspection dates.
  2. After each service, press "Serviced today".
  3. In Field visits, press "Plan a visit" and choose the customer, address, time and technician. When it is done, press "Invoice it".
  4. Technicians see their own work under My visits.
  5. In Team planning, move between weeks with "Previous week", "This week" and "Next week".

Good to know

  • Team planning is read-only; it draws on tasks, visits, appointments and time off.
  • The customer's signature goes through the contracts and e-sign section (NabuSign).
  • All three are add-ons.

Editing a gateway brings its form into view

On Payment gateways, Edit moves the page to that gateway's form, rings it for a moment, and puts the cursor in the first field. On a phone the form used to open off screen.
